Who are we?

CTB Works is a small business, based in Sheffield and run by Cath & Ted Baldwin. We have a combination of IT and voluntary sector experience...

Charity and voluntary sector

  • Ted has worked as Information Officer for the British Infertility Counselling Association. He has also done voluntary work for a number of different charities.
  • Cath was involved in starting Woodseats Advice Centre in Sheffield. While working as a Community Librarian, she was active in promoting the use of council facilities by community groups.

Information Technology

  • Ted had a career with the Post Office as a computer programmer, systems analyst and project manager.
  • Cath had a career with HSBC and worked on web-based banking systems.

Training

Ted worked as an adult education teacher for Sheffield City Council and the Workers Educational Association. He was also Project Manager of a European-funded community computing project based in Sheffield.

Writing for the web

Cath is an English graduate with a particular interest in writing for the web. She enjoys working with customers to make sure the content of their website is effective and easy to read.
